A light rapid tick from the top of the engine. Often low oil or lifters. Sometimes normal on direct injection.
Low oil, worn lifters, an exhaust manifold leak, or normal injector tick on direct injection engines.
Check the oil level today. A tick that fades as the engine warms is often an exhaust leak instead.
